What Pitso Mosimane told American team about Njabulo Blom

A top official for Njabulo Blom’s American team, St. Louis City, has disclosed what Pitso Mosimane told them about the former Kaizer Chiefs star.

St. Louis City Sporting Director, Lutz Pfannenstiel, says he had a chat with the former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane over the meaning of Njabulo Blom’s first name.

The South African coach Pitso Mosimane is in charge of Al-Ahli Saudi in Saudi Arabia.

“I had a good chat with legendary South African and current Al-Ahli FC coach @TheRealPitso yesterday,” Lutz Pfannenstiel tweeted.

“…and he told me that Njabulo means happiness! Let’s hope that Blom Njabulo will bring exactly that to @stlCITYsc.”

Lutz Pfannenstiel has been excited about the arrival of the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder at the Major Soccer League (MSL) outfit.

The St. Louis City official actually welcomed Njabulo Blom on arrival in America a few days ago.

“Look who coach @Bradzc and I found at Fort Lauderdale Airport: Former @Kaizer Chiefs player @BlomNjabulo_45 has arrived at @stlCITYsc,” he tweeted two days ago.

NJABULO BLOM REACTS AFTER STARTING TRAINING IN AMERICA

Njabulo Blom has since started training with his new team. “We are happy to be here,” he said in a video posted on the club page.

Blom penned a two-year deal with the American team running until the end of the 2024 MLS regular season.

The versatile player, who can also play as a defender, has two option years for an extension from the 2025 to 2026 seasons.

The former Amakhosi star has united at St. Louis City with former Bafana Bafana international Brandley Carnell.

The former South African international is a head coach for St Louis City. Carnell has since welcomed Blom into his fold.

“Finally, we get to work; let’s enjoy this journey Mzansi,” Carnell tweeted a caption of a picture while posing with Blom.

The 23-year-old Blom spent three seasons with Glamour Boys. He joined Chiefs as a fresh-faced 19-year-old.

The Soweto-born footballer made 94 appearances for Chiefs in the DStv Premiership.

He earned his Bafana Bafana debut last year in a strength-building match against the Cranes of Uganda.
