DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United have revealed when club captain Linda Mntambo will make his much-anticipated return from action.
Sekhukhune confirmed the availability of ahead of their key player Mntambo for theri league clash against Marumo Gallants on Saturday, 4 February.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder has been missing in action since the resumption of the PSL season due to an injury. He has not played any match under then new coach Brandon Truter.
LINDA MNTAMBO FULLY RECOVERED
The club confirmed on their social media pages on Friday that the 33-year-old has completed his recovery.
The other player who the club has given an update is midfielder Seth Parusnath. The 28-year-old has not played a match for the club since the 2021/22 season.
His last competitive match was during the 2-2 draw with Marumo Gallants in May 2022. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Sekhukhune are away to Marumo Gallants in the DStv Premiership clash at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Rustenburg on Saturday.
Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter has hinted that there could be changes into their starting line-up.
“Just a few changes in the line-up, it might be a surprise, also to our attacking structure,” said Truter.
“So we are looking forward to the game. A few changes to the line-up, a few experiments but I think we will improve a bit for this game. We are looking for three points away from home and of course bragging rights in Limpopo.
They have shown tremendous form since the arrival of Truter after having spent the first round of the season in the bottom half. They have now made a huge jump up to sixth position with 24 points.
BABINA NOKO FACE A WOUNDED MARUMO GALLANTS
Marumo on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from their eight match losing streak. They recently made changes to their technical team setup placing coach Dan Malesela on special leave.
Well traveled Dylan Kerr has been tasked with saving the Premiership status from the 10 matches remaining. Kickoff of the match is at 20:00.
