What Royal AM star thinks about John Maduka’s homecoming
Royal AM seasoned winger, Elias Pelembe, has shared his thoughts on John Maduka’s homecoming after the coach rejoined the DStv Premiership team on Thursday.
Elias Pelembe told FARPost that they have welcomed John Maduka in the manner all professional players ought to.

“As players, you need to give respect to any coach that you work with. The case is no different with coach Maduka,” the former SuperSport United player said.
“You need to respect any coach that you are working with and try to do what he wants you to do for the sake of the success of a team.”
The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns wide midfielder then added that there is always need to adjust when a coach comes in.
“It is important for players to always adjust when any new coach comes,” Elias Pelembe said.
CAN THWIHLI THWAHLA TURN THE CORNER?
The Mambas veteran said they were optimistic of turning the corner in the remaining league outings.
“We have so much hope that we can move away from the position we are in and go up,” he said.
The Malawians trainer is credited with steering Royal AM to their best-ever finish in the DStv Premiership.
The Durban-based team finished in third place last season.
However, the ex-Bloemfontein Celtic team manager jumped ship at the start of this campaign.
The former Flames captain was tempted by Maritzburg United, but his spell with the Team of Choice did not last long.
The Malawian rejoined Royal AM this week after being club-less for the past two months.
The 52-year-old coach left Maritzburg in November.

The team’s management opted to recall their former mentor Fadlu Davids to turnaround the fortunes.
Maduka delivered the goods with Thwihli Thwahla’s last season.

Royal AM reached the third qualifying round of the second-tier continental competition.
The Durban outfit saw off Mbabane Highlanders from Eswatini in the first round to date Zesco in the second stage.
Royal AM also dispatched the Zambians to book a date with TP Mazembe in the third round.
However, the Congolese side proved too strong for the debutants. Mazembe progressed to the business stage of the competition.
