Ramovic leaves door open for academy graduate to return to PSL
TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has left a wide door open for academy graduate Aphelele Teto to return to the DStv Premiership.
Sead Ramovic sent Teto packing back to where it all started in the DStv Diski Challenge during the season to improve him where he lacks. This comes after his performances at training and in DStv Premiership matches were not impressive.
The 19-year-old made his breakthrough to SA’s top-flight last season after impressing in the reserve league. In the current campaign he had made 12 appearances and managed to register two assists in the league.
RAMOVIC ON TETO RETURNING TO THE FIRST TEAM
According to the mentor, Teto will be given an opportunity to return to the first team if the shows hunger and desire.
“If he improves and show me he wants to play, that he wants to be in the eleven then he will get a chance just like did [before],” Ramovic told the media.
“Now he’s in the second team [DDC] because he has to show again that trains and plays well he has to play well, then we’ll again give him a chance.
“He is young and skillful, but has to learn a lot that if he wants to have a great career he has to play well, work hard, improve everyday.”
RAMOVIC’S WARNING TO TETO
Ramovic further revealed that he sees a lot of huge potential in Teto having a successful football career. He however, warned the starlet that he might not be succeed if he doesn’t work hard.
“There’s a chance that he will become one of the best players in South Africa. If he doesn’t train well, he will just disappear like many fantastic players before him,” he added.
Since his demotion, Teto has made four appearances with The Young Rockets. He featured in matches against Stellenbosch FC, Royal AM, AmaZulu FC and Swallows FC.
Teto is expected to play a part when they take on Orlando Pirates on Saturday 11 February. Kickoff at Isak Steyl Stadium is at 12pm.
