Banyana star setting Mexican top flight alight

Banyana Banyana forward Jermaine Seoposenwe keeps on shining like a diamond in the Mexican top flight with her stellar displays. 

Seoposenwe was on the scoresheet when FC Juarez thrashed Tigres 3-1 in the league clash on Saturday. 

Following her outstanding performance on the day, the talented frontwoman was named the Player of the Match.

To put a cherry on top, the 29-year-old footballer did not only find the back of the net, but she was involved in every goal her side scored.

The 2022 Africa Women’s Cup Nations [WAFCON] winner also assisted another two goals to help her team to ease past Tigres, the club that another Banyana attacker Noxolo Cesane recently joined from the French side Stade de Reims.

As things stand, Juarez currently sit 11th on the table with 22 points from 17 outings.

Seoposenwe’s extensive experience of the beautiful game will be expected to continue helping the side to climb up the table and reach the promised land. 

The victory is a big win for Juarez against the league’s title chasers, Tigres. 

JERMAINE SEOPOSENWE CEMENTING HER PLACE IN BANYANA SQUAD 

The ex-Real Betis goalscorer will be gunning to continue with her good form for a place in the Banyana squad that will be going to this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, due to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand from the 20th of July until the 20th of  August, 2023.

Seoposenwe has proven to be a key member in adding more goals to Banyana in the past. 

The speedy goal poacher is part of Desiree Ellis’ squad that will participate in the Turkish Women’s Cup. 

The Turkish Cup tournament is scheduled to kick off on 13-26 February 2023. Banyana are drawn alongside the hosts Turkey, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.

The competition is part of South Africa’s Women’s World Cup preparations.
