Pitso Mosimane weighs in on Sibusiso Vilakazi’s TS Galaxy exit
Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has weighed in on Sibusiso Vilakazi’s fall-out with TS Galaxy.
This comes after the vile claims made by Galaxy’s head coach Sead Ramović.
Mosimane has surprisingly come out in defence of his former player Vilakazi who recently parted ways with the Rockets.
The Al-Ahli Jeddah mentor claims that he was was “dumbfounded” about the tone of the Galaxy’s coach Ramovic when he explained the reason behind Vilakazi’s departure at the club just after six months.
Ramovic stated he would rather play with players that put a lot of effort, a lot right attitude and great lifestyle, insisting that the ex-Bafana Ba Style forward did not put his 100% at training.
‘Villa’, as he is popularly known within the football circles, only managed to make 10 appearances during his short stint at the Mpumalanga-based outfit in the South African football top flight.
In those ten games, he did not find the back of the net which led him being overlooked by the German tactician for a place in the starting eleven.
Mosimane has since defended his former striker after his controversial departure at Galaxy, citing that Vilakazi is a “true professional on and off the pitch.”

“A true professional [on and off the pitch] who respects the game and coaches. Knows sports science, game tactics and opinionated too.”

The three-time CAF Champions League winning coach went on to reveal that the former Bafana Bafana international was also a coach in his dressing room during his stay at Chloorkop.
“Sibusiso Vilakazi was also a coach in my dressing room and inside the pitch,” he added.
“One of the players who kept the dressing room quite but spoke football tactics all the time.
“He lead the football conditioning training sessions which are usually very tough. A critic to his game.”
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old frontman is heavily linked with a move to the KwaZulu-Natal side Royal AM.
