Burnley FC coach Vincent Kompany has given his verdict on the Bafana Bafana forward Lyle Fosterโs start to life with the Clarets.
The striker’s good performance could also be key to South Africa in the forthcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers.

Kompany gave the assessment before the DStv Premiership export, Lyle Foster, featured for Burnley on Saturday.

The former Orlando Pirates striker Lyle Foster came off the bench for the Clarets as they saw off Preston North End 3-0.
Nathan Tella scored a hat-trick for the Vincent Kompany side to close in on the Sky Bet Championship title.
Before the match, the Manchester City legend, Vincent Kompany, said he was happy with Lyle Fosterโs all-round game.
โThe talent is there and the potential is undeniable. I am just happy for his work, defensively, for the team,โ he told Burnley Express TV.
The Belgian, however, said Foster can do better on some aspects of his game.

โOn the ball is what I am least worried about with him because that is his outstanding quality,โ the Burnley gaffer added.
Kompany particularly noted that the 22-year-old striker seems to be losing balls a lot.
The Clarets coach stressed that he was no worried with the South African.
โThe only thing is that you gain a lot by being around the team in training, in games and in meetings
โโฆwe will go with what we see, the best will play. Whoever is performing will play and there is no rush,โ he said.
Kompany added: โHe has three to four months of learning everything we have to do, just like the others have had to do. It is a better period to do it now than in summer.โ
Burnley signed the South Africa weeks ago from Belgian side, K.V.C Westerlo.
