The dream that made Buhle Mkhwanazi leave SuperSport United
Ex-Bafana Bafana and Bidvest Wits defender Buhle Mkhwanazi has divulged that he parted ways with SuperSport United not because he was “out of contract” but because he had a vision from God.
Mkhwanazi claims that he had a dream that God showed him, warning him that he cannot take the “jab” that lies ahead at the Tshwane DStv Premiership side.
This comes after Mkhwanazi took to social media to show his contract during his stay at ‘The Clever Boys’, revealing his high salary, but yet still suffering spiritually.
The 33-year-old footballer made the revelations in an interview on SAFM SportOn on Thursday evening.
The Bloemfontein-born centre-back had a successful six seasons at Wits until the club sold its Premier Soccer League [PSL] status at the end of the 2019/20 season to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
THE REAL REASON WHY BUHLE MKHWANAZI LEFT SUPERSPORT UNITED
“I left SuperSport not because I was out of contract but because of what I saw in a dream,” said Mkhwanazi.
“God told me in a dream that I can’t take the jab. It looked foolish, but God says I use foolish things to teach the wise.
“Some will laugh and say look at him he’s stupid and walking away from a contract.”
The ex-AmaTuks man went on to note that he read the Bible and can hear God speak through it.
He also put it on record that he has no hard feelings against SuperSport, and he respects their decision.
In fact, Mkhwanazi further explained that Matsatsantsa had a policy which he didn’t agree with. So, instead of fighting it, he decided to walk away.
BUHLE MKHWANAZI FULL OF PRAISES TO GOD
Mkhwanazi was full of praise to the man from above [God] for his guidance and for showing him the way at all times.
“I want to thank God for sending me to places that people despise. I realized when I attended the ECG Church of Prophet Bushiri,” he added.
“There’s also a church I go to which is linked to TB Joshua. When I’m at these places, I hear God talking to me.”
Mkhwanazi also urged people not only to be rich financially or physically but one needs to be rich spiritually, not materialistically.
“There are many unhappy billionaires. The only way is Jesus Christ, receive him. The grace of God has kept me going and puts food for my kids,” Mkhwanazi explained.
“I feel the urge to share a lot of things people don’t know about football. The contract that I shared today is only the last 3 years.
“I had a seven-year contract, and it was the biggest of my career. I’m not saying I lost everything, but I’m saying losing the contract showed me the light.”
