Sundowns Ladies told where to get the striker they desperately need

Sundowns Ladies’ former player, Khabo Zitha, has advised her former club on why they should go outside South Africa for a new striker.

Sundowns’ head coach, Jerry Tshabalala hinted at the possibility of bringing a new striker.

This was after the recent game that Banyana Ba Style played in the Hollywoodbets Super League, against Ma-indies.

The Sundowns striking department suffered a blow, losing Miche Minnies to an injury. Tshabalala told FARPost that he hoped the injury wasn’t bad, as they are in need of more strengthening upfront.

However, Banyana Banyana and Sundowns legend, Khabo Zitha, believes if her former side is to sign a new striker, it should be someone who has something South Africa doesn’t have.

She believes Sundowns already has every element SA football has to offer. And it is time to bring a different element into the Super League.

ZITHA ON WHY SUNDOWNS SHOULD SIGN A STRIKER FROM OUTSIDE SA

“To be quite honest, I think Sundowns has a good team already. So, for them to go for a local striker, it will be for them to show us the same thing they have,” said Zitha.

“So it will be best if maybe they can go into Africa, bring something new. If we say that we want equal share with the guys, we need to follow suit.”

“At least, they should try to be on their level. We need to have three strikers from outside the country, like Nigeria.”

“I think they should bring something new, something vibey. That will also boost the team, to have somebody special who is not from the same nation.”

Despite Zitha’s opinion on Sundowns bringing a foreign striker into the team, she still backs SA girls and the talent that they have.

The former Banyana Banyana ace believes that welcoming new cultures from outside SA will boost women’s football and interest in the Super League.

“Already Sundowns has proven beyond a reasonable doubt. They lifted the trophy as African queens.”

“So for them maybe to bring that element of excitement and to lure the fans to come in numbers to come support women’s football.”

“They need to bring some chillies, and they don’t have to go far. They can just go here, around Mozambique.”

“There are good players who can actually come in and add a number to what we are campaigning for,” concluded Zitha.
