Baroka make major coaching changes
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka have made some notable adjustments to their technical team staff.
Baroka have been blowing hot and cold in the first division this season and currently sit in position nine on the log.
They suffered their 10th defeat after going down 3-2 to Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday afternoon.
The club recently appointed Bushy Moloi to take over from Vincent Kobola earlier in the season.
But after some inconsistent results, Moloi is no longer the solo head coach. The club has opted to rope in Stanford Nkoane as a co-coach.
Nkoane was working as an assistant and also worked in the same role under the previous coach, Kobola.
BAROKA CONFIRM TECHNICAL TEAM AMENDMENT
The club also confirmed the changes via the team sheet sent to the media prior to their league match against Spurs. When asked for a comment, Moloi declined to give clarity on the latest developments.
ON THE DEFEAT TO CAPE TOWN SPURS ON WEDNESDAY
Moloi has lamented his team’s inability to bounce back everytime they concede an early goal.
“I don’t understand if we are bewitched or something like that but every single time we concede an early goal it actually frustrates us to some extent because we need to work hard to get an equaliser and a winning goal.”
THE FOCUS IS ON THE FUTURE
“Look we need to build because us and Cape Town Spurs, are the only team that can arrogantly play U/23 players. Which is good for us because we are building for the future. Yes, the future is to survive and also attempt to go back to the PSL.”
Baroka are also trying out former Black Leopards goalkeeper Rotshidzwa Muleka. Muleka parted ways with Leopards at the beginning of the season.
He also went for a trial at Venda Football Academy but failed to secure a deal.
