SAFA have confirmed the date for the announcement of the Bafana Bafana squad ahead of the two upcoming clashes with Liberia.
South Africa will square off against the Lone Stars in back-to-back AFCON qualifying matches.
The first match will take place at the Orlando Stadium on the 24th of March before they lock horns at Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Liberia on the 28th.
SAFA’s Head of Stakeholder Dominic Chimhavi has confirmed to FARPost that Hugo Broos will announce the squad for the two fixtures on the 16th of this month.

“The coach [Hugo Broos] will make the squad announcement on the 16th [March],” he said.
On the day, many will be expecting the name of the red-hot Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Cassius Mailula and the return of Percy Tau.
Mailula, in his maiden season in the PSL, has stolen the limelight, becoming a consistent goalscorer for the Brazilians.
The 21-year-old has netted 17 goals in 22 games he’s played in all competitions including Carling Black Label Cup.
Meanwhile, Tau, who’s had injury issues seems to have returned stronger and has featured in the last ten matches of Al Ahly.
QUALIFYING FOR AFCON IS PART OF BROOS’ MANDATE
In order to secure an early spot in the AFCON, Bafana will have to beat Liberia both home and away before they face Morocco in June.
Further, SAFA president Danny Jordaan recently revealed that Broos’ mandate consists of getting Bafana a ticket to Ivory Coast.
“Broos has brought many young players in and it is a team that can go to AFCON and to the next stage of world cup qualifying. He must qualify for Afcon, that’s in his mandate,” Jordaan said in the interview with Marawa Sports Worldwide.
