What might be the cause of Khaya Shozi’s disturbing state
Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khaya Shozi’s brother Simphiwe Shozi has revealed what might be the cause of the player’s disturbing state.
The once upcoming and promising football star from the Sundowns academy has been facing mental challenges. This has led to him roaming the streets, homeless.
Disturbing images of the former player surfaced on social media last week and started to trend. The message from the picture clearly stated that Shozi is in need of help.
FOUL PLAY
His brother [Simphiwe Shozi] suspects foul play as he strongly believes the footballer was bewitched.
Everything was going well for the 28-year-old and he had a bright future ahead of him. Shozi had represented the South African under-23 national team before.
He also had stints at TS Galaxy, JDR Stars, Richards Bay, Black Leopards and SuperSport United.
“I’m not sure what is the cause for the state of my brother’s condition [Khaya Shozi] but it seems as though people are behind it. Using traditional forces,” said Simphiwe Shozi.
“I have tried to take my brother to inyanga [traditional healer] to get him help, as we were brought up traditionally. The reason I am here is because my brother needs help, he is not ok mentally at this stage.
“There are times where my brother disappears for three to five months at a time and it’s very concerning for me. The last time he disappeared I found him somewhere in the Vaal.”
WHERE SHOZI WOULD BE NOW IN HIS CAREER
Simphiwe Shozi further believes if his brother was 100% okay, he would be on the field doing what he does best; playing football.
“If Khaya was okay, he would be on the field playing football but he isn’t ok. I am happy that people are aware of the unfortunate situation my brother is facing,” he added.
This publication was touched by Khanya Shozi’s situation. Therefore, we have posted on our social media accounts appealing for help from the public to find and locate the former football player.
