Super League: Sundowns Ladies win yet another Tshwane derby
Hollywoodbets Super League wrapped with yet another Tshwane derby victory for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and a loss for the struggling Thunderbirds Ladies.
Match-day seven finished with 18 goals across all games played this weekend.
TSHWANE DERBY BETWEEN TUT FC AND SUNDOWNS
Sundowns played their second consecutive derby this weekend against another Tshwane side, TUT Ladies.
Last week against AmaTuks Banyana Ba Style got a narrow win. Beating the Super League newcomers, 1-0.
This weekend again, the Chloorkop side repeated the same feat, away to TUT. This time around, Karabo Dhlamini found the back of the net early on in the first half.
TUT Ladies remain 10th on the log table, with only eight points. And Sundowns remain first, with just one point separating them with UWC Ladies.
THUNDERBIRDS REMAIN WINLESS
Thunderbirds’ hunt for a victory this season stretches to yet another day in the Super League. They failed to get a win at home against Richmond United, losing 1-0.
Tshepiso Radebe broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute after a first half that had little to offer.
The second half pend out similarly to the first half, this time, without a goal from either side. Thunderbirds remain 15th on the log table, with Richmond moving to fifth.
REST OF THE SUPER LEAGUE GAMES
Coal City Wizards’ struggle for three points continue in the Super League, as they lost 2-0 at home to Copperbelt Ladies.
UWC Ladies grabbed their sixth consecutive win against First Touch Ladies [3-1], remaining as the only team in the Super League without a draw or a loss this season so far.
AmaTuks failed to pick up points at home against JVW Girls, losing 1-0. And UJ Ladies beat relegation-threatened Ma-indies Ladies 5-1.
Durban Ladies failed to pick up points on the road, after losing 1-0 to TS Galaxy. And Royal AM grabbed points away to City Lads, beating home side 2-0.
