Therefore, facing Serbia on the 10th of April, will be the last preparation before Banyana head into the World Cup camp.
The AWCON-winning coach mentioned on SABC Sport that there are some areas that her team still needs to improve on.
Highlighting the defensive area, their transitional play and playing without the ball as the main areas.
ELLIS AREAS BANYANA STILL NEED TO IMPROVE
“We are a position-based team and we score a lot of goals on a transition. So the one thing that got to be better at is being defensively better,” said the three-time CAF Women’s Coach of the Year.
“If we are defensively better, we always going to create an opportunity, like we have shown, like on a counter attack.
“We always got to make sure that when we win that ball, we got to be better. Because sometimes, we lose that ball after winning the ball immediately.
“So those are some of the things that we are working on. We are also trying to work on be better out of position.
“Because it is easy to play when you have the ball, but it is a lot more difficult to control everything when we don’t have the ball.
“And that might be what we up against, so we are working on everything, to make sure that we cover every area of the game,” concluded Ellis.
