Banyana goalie reveals lessons learned in maiden World Cup Campaign

Banyana Banyana’s goalkeeper, Andile Dlamini, has revealed the lessons they learned in their first World Cup campaign.

Banyana will make their second appearance in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The prestigious football tournament will start on 20 July and end on 20 August.

The African Champions are in group G and will meet the toughest opponents in their group, which are Argentina, Italy, and Sweden.

Heading into this World Cup, Banyana go into it with an idea of what to expect, as this won’t be their first rodeo.

In their first World Cup appearance, Banyana did not have a great debut. The AWCON-winners booked their return tickets early in the campaign. They had lost all their group-stage games against China, Germany and Spain.

However, this time around, the Banyana goalkeeper, Dlamini, revealed that their previous campaign was a learning experience.

And they will head into this World Cup aware of what lies ahead of them.
