How Arthur Zwane plans to approach DStv Prem remaining fixtures

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has revealed how they plan to approach their last six DStv Premiership fixtures.

Amakhosi have been in great form in recent games, having won their last five matches. At at some point this season, the ‘boo boys’ were chanting “Zwane must go”.

Over the weekend, the 49-year-old mentor divulged that this has been Chiefs’ worst season, given the challenges they have faced as a team.

Zwane stated that his side struggled to gel in the PSL this season, as they have been “chopping and changing” players due to injuries and other factors.

However, the man in charge reckons that they will never stop working so they can continue their impressive winning streak heading into the last six games of the campaign.

Zwane was speaking at Chiefs’ open media day session. As a build-up to this weekend’s game against Marumo Gallants at FNB Stadium.

The kick-off is set for 20:00.

‘WE NEVER STOP WORKING HARD’

“We never stop working hard. You know, we have assembled a very good group of players. They are willing to learn and very eager to succeed,” Zwane told the media.

“It is only a phase. You know, when you are in a build-up phase, you will get things right step by step.

“It is not possible that when you build a house today, you lay a foundation, then tomorrow you are already laying the first brick, the roof, all of that. Let me tell you, you are going to have a lot of cracks in that house.”

Zwane continued: “So, what I’m trying to say is that when we try to fix the defence, then we miss chances and when we start scoring goals, we have injuries and other challenges. And that did not help us in terms of consistency.

“But at least right now, even when we have challenges, we are managing to grand the results.”

As things stand, the Glamour Boys are placed fourth on the log standings with 40 points after 24 outings.
