Siphesihle Mkhize’s agent: ‘Who wouldn’t be associated with champions?’

The agent of Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Siphesihle Mkhize has made an admission about his client ahead of the end of the loan spell at Chippa United.

Mkhize, whose talent was nurtured at Chloorkop, hasn’t seen much of the first-team football in the Brazilians shirt since he was promoted.

He spent the 2019/20 DStv Premiership season with the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town. The following season, he was with the Tshwane giants before he went out on loan to Chippa United.

This is his second season with the Chilli Boys and his loan spell will come to an end in June.

His agent Ntobatsi Masegela, the Managing Director of Footballerz Sports Marketing says Mkhize is longing to be part of his parent club.

He feels the midfielder has demonstrated that through consistent performances in the past two years at Chippa.

AGENT MAKES ADMISSION ABOUT SUNDOWNS LOANEE SIPHESIHLE MKHIZE

“With Mkhize, he’s showing it, you see him when he plays against Sundowns, he always wants to do better,” he told FARPost.

“He understands that I’m playing against my parent club, so I need to do well.

“He’s showing it that I’m playing week in and week out coach Rulani, here am I. He shows that I’m a youngster from the [Sundowns] academy.

“I don’t think it’s that important for us to ask him if he’s interested [to return to Sundowns]. Who wouldn’t want to be associated with champions?”

Masegela says he has always been all about looking out for his client in getting game time.

However, he’s yet to sit down with the Brazilians for discussions of the 24-year-old’s future with the club next season.

‘HE’S BEEN PLAYING WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT’

“My agenda has always been game time [for my client],” he added.

“Two seasons now, he’s been playing week in and week out. So I wouldn’t want to cause an issue regarding his game time.

“So, that’s another topic, another conversation for me with Sundowns regarding Mkhize.

“All conversations we’ve been having is all about trying to find the solutions of how do we keep him playing week in and week out.”
