Gift Links reaches major milestone for Danish side
South African winger Gift Links has reached a major milestone for his Danish side Aarhus.
The 24-year-old played his 100th match for Aarhus on Sunday when they defeated Viborg 1-0 in their Superliga playoff encounter.
Links, playing in his fourth season with the Danish side, has become one of the key players for the club, having played consistently.
This season, the former Platinum Stars flying winger has featured in 24 matches in all competitions and is yet to find the back of the net. However, he has two assists to his name.

Nevertheless, Links has been a solid option for German tactician Uwe Rösler who continues to rely on the speedy South African for creativity.
“Great win in front of our amazing fans. Happy to have played my 100th match for this amazing club,” said Links on social media after a solid display.
He started the matches and played 68 minutes before he was subbed off for Swedish defender Eric Kahl.
Links joined Aarhus in 2019 from Cape Town City for a reported 800 000 euros (about R13,4 million) fee, said to be as a club record fee for the Citizens.
In turning up for Aarhus, one of the oldest clubs in Denmark, Links followed in the footsteps of former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana attacker Josta Dladla.
CARVING HIS OWN PATH
Dladla enjoyed three successful seasons with Aarhus before returning to South Africa to play for DStv Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
Links appears to be creating his own path and writing his own history with the Danish club.
He has scored seven goals and provided eight assists in Aarhus colours.
The attacker has toughened up as one of the few South Africans that ply their trade in Europe and refuse to return home at the slightest inconvenience.
Links has also featured for Egyptian side Alassiouty SC, who are now known as Pyramids after they were sold in 2018 and moved to Cairo.
