Another PSL coach could bite the dust
Another PSL coach could soon bite the dust if news reaching FARPost is anything to go by.
With only four matches to go in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, the number of teams fighting for relegation has now been reduced to four.
They are Black Leopards, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, La Masia and Platinum City Rovers. Baroka and Venda Football Academy are mathematically still not safe, but it would take a miracle for the above-mentioned teams to catch up with them.
PSL COACH JOB ON THE LINE
This publication has now established that it could be the end of coach Thato Haraba at TTM. Haraba took over from Johnny Ferreira recently.
But his record during a four-match stint has not been impressive. He has lost two and drew two matches. TTM have also gone 16 successive games without a win so far. TTM manager Azwihangwisi Phasha was not immediately available for comment.
But speaking to journalists after their 2-0 defeat on Sunday, Haraba sounded optimistic that the team stands a good chance of survival.
“To come and join the team where it was, from a distance, it looked impossible to survive this thing. But from where I am standing, I still have hope, and the players also have hope. We are going to fight until the end, this is not time for us to give up,” he said.
MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB FOR TTM IN LAST LEAGUE MATCHES
The return of former coach Lucky Nelukau to the club can not be ruled out. Nelukau has always maintained close relationships with the club’s owners and has always expressed his desire to assist.
TTM will have a mountain to climb if they are to save their PSL status. Their last four games will be against Magesi, Hungry Lions, University of Pretoria, and they will wrap up the campaign against Baroka.
