This is the Bafana Bafana frontman’s third trophy with the Egyptian giants, having joined them in August 2021.
He previously won the CAF Super Cup [2021] and the Egyptian Super Cup [2022] with Al Ahly. In a thrilling match that witnessed a red card and nine yellow cards, Ahly secured a record-extending 38th Egypt Cup title.

PERCY TAU IN INCREDIBLE FORM
In the current season, ‘The Lion of Judah’ has played over 20 games for the Red Devils and has been instrumental for the Al Ahly since his return from injury.
His recent incredible performances have seen him reclaiming his place in the Bafana Bafana and helped Hugo Broos’ charges to qualify for the CAF 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] tournament due to be held in Ivory Coast in January next year.
‘HE IS AN INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING’
Tau’s in-form got the now Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena adoring him.
Mokwena describes the 28-year-old star as a very respectful person and “an incredible human being”.
The Downs coach reckons that Tau’s good morals are what keep him shining on the field of play.
“He is an incredible human being. His first sign is his respect. And good players have this thing of being good human beings,” Mokwena told the media last month.
Now, Koller will be banking on ex-Bafana Ba Style forward to help them to progress further in the Champions League and domestic league.
