Royal AM defender Happy Jele has spoken about facing his long-time arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final that will take place on Sunday.
Thwihli Thwahla will lock horns with Amakhosi in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal on Sunday, 16 April evening. The match will be at the Chatsworth Stadium at 18:00.
The 36-year-old defender has faced the Glamour Boys in front of big crowds numerous times during his 16-year spell with Orlando Pirates.
He made his debut for Royal AM this past Saturday against Stellenbosch. He is looking forward to continuing his rivalry with Amakhosi where he left off at Pirates.

“I believe I did my part on the field in the previous weekend,” he told journalists.
“If the technical team gives me a chance to play against Chiefs, I’m looking forward to it.
“It’s gonna be a big game cause it’s a cup game. Playing against Kaizer Chiefs, they have been doing well so far.
“But it’s a cup game, one must die.”
Meanwhile, Royal AM head coach voiced out his feelings on Jele’s debut.
He lauded the former Pirates captain for shutting the door at the back and also complimented him for his discipline and hard work since joining the club.

“It’s good to have him, he had a good game,” he told the media.
“You must remember that it’s been almost a year without him playing.
“And because of his discipline, he works so hard at training. It became easier.
“And if you look also the way we play, we changed a little bit our formation to make things easy for our players.
“Yeah, it worked for us against Stellenbosch and we hope it works against Kaizer Chiefs.
“Jele is part of the team and still available for selection. We haven’t made the final team or final eleven [for Kaizer Chiefs clash] but he’s available for selection.
“It’s good to have him especially with his leadership. Big games also, when you go to war, you have to go with your best soldiers.
“The soldiers that are ready to compete.”
