PLAYERS’ STRIKE LOOMING AT MARUMO GALLANTS
In a turn of events, Gallants’ players have threatened to go on strike over “unpaid bonuses” promised by the club.
According to sources close to this publication, the players are planning to strike if the club doesn’t pay them their bonuses for qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
It is alleged that the club had promised to pay bonuses to the players and they are now threatening not to play until the club boss Abram Sello pays them.
NO PAY, NO PLAYÂ
“The players are not going to play until he [Abram Sello] signs the agreement,” said the source.
“PSL, SAFA, and CAF must interfere because Sello is playing with their money. He’s always telling them about his expenses but he’s the one who put himself there.
“He promised to give the players money for qualifying for group stages, and he hasn’t delivered on his promise till today.”
The source continued: “Now, the last quarterfinals money is 350k dollars [R6,4 million].
“The players are now seeking answers before they go to Egypt.”
