Arthur Zwane sends stern warning to Royal AM

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has fired a stern warning to Royal AM ahead of their Nedbank Cup quarter-final tie.

The two teams will lock horns on Sunday 16 April at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban at 6pm.

In the previous meetings, Royal AM have been a headache to Amakhosi, dominating and winning matches. Last season they completed a league double over the Soweto giants winning 4-1 and 1-0 respectively.

This campaign, the two clubs have already met twice in the league. They registered victories in their respective home games. The KZN outfit won 1-0 on the opening day of the season; then Chiefs sealed a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture in January.

According to Zwane, they will approach the match with an intention of progressing to the semi-finals.

ARTHUR ZWANE’S WARNING TO ROYAL AM

“We are planning to go all out; we are not going to hold back because this is a perfect opportunity for us to go to the next round of the competition,” said Zwane.

“We all know that we are playing against a team that is very difficult, especially for us in the past two seasons. It’s not going to be an easy one; moreover, we are playing away.

“They also won their last game 3-1. That alone tells you the depth that they have in their squad after losing to Marumo Gallants.

“They will want to proceed to the next round of the competition there is no doubt about it. It’s going to be a difficult one.”

Chiefs will be aiming to get back to winning ways after dropping two points last time out following a 1-1 draw against relegation-threatened Marumo Gallants at home in the DStv Premiership.

On the other hand, Royal AM are motivated after cruising to a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch FC.
