Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter has shared his opinion on the proverbial coaching merry-go round in the PSL this season.
Nine out of the 16 teams in the DStv Premiership have made changes to their technical team in the current campaign, some doing so more than once.

The likes of Chippa United, Swallows FC, AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants have pulled the trigger more than once. And Truter was one of the victims at Usuthu.
The former Swallows mentor started the season with the KwaZulu-Natal side having replaced Benni McCarthy the season before.
However, he was shown the door after Usuthu lost 1-0 to KwaZulu-Natal rivals and DStv Premiership rookies Richards Bay last year October.
His replacement, Romain Folz, has since suffered the same fate, with the fresh-faced tactician replaced by Ayanda Dlamini recently.
The French-Moroccan had opened the revolving door when he left his post as Gallants coach earlier this season. He cited interference from management.
Other coaches who have been shown the door this season so far include Dylan Kerr, John Maduka, Kaitano Tembo, Dan Malesela, Daine Klate, Kurt Lentjies, and Morgan Mammila to name a few.
Truter believes some of the club owners are harsh when it comes to giving coaches the boot, making an example about his spells at Swallows and Usuthu, respectively.
“We have to understand that success doesn’t come overnight,” said Truter.
“With Swallows, the journey was incredible when we won promotion. The first season [in the Premiership] we finished 6th and people were complaining about the draws.
“In the second season, we reached the semi-finals of the MTN 8. But after my first loss against SuperSport United, I got placed on special leave, suspended or whatever it is.
“Coach [Simo Dladla] was then brought in and took over the team, conceded 12 goals in 3 games and I was brought back. I was then given the boot again after losing against Kaizer Chiefs.
“At AmaZulu, it was short term after Benni had done well, I think we started well. When I took over there were eight games left and I won six and qualified for the top eight.
“We reached the semi- finals in the top eight [MTN8] but I got the boot after losing against Richards Bay. They employed a coach who everyone said took the team to the final without scoring a goal.

“So, I don’t understand sometimes how the club owners or the media look into the stats and some of these things. But for me, I just have to stay focused and keep on working.”
Truter seems to have found his feet recently at Babina Noko, guiding the team to seventh on the Premiership standings currently.
