Seema addresses Siyabulela Gwambi’s future at Chippa
Newly appointed Chippa United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has addressed the future of Siyabulela Gwambi at the club.
Seema was recalled for his second stint at Chippa to take over the coaching reigns and help the club retain their DStv Premiership status.
Prior to reappointing Seema as a coach, Chippa had Gwambi on the hot seat as an interim coach after taking over from the discarded Kurt Lentjies.
In the current campaign, four coaches have gone out of the revolving door at Chippa with Daine Klate, Morgan Mammila, Kurt Lentjies and Siyabulela Gwambi being the victims of the chop.
The Gqeberha-based outfit find themselves fighting relegation which prompted the club’s chairman Chippa Mpengesi to rope in Seema on a short term contract.
Gwambi has been a subject of speculation since the arrival of Seema at Chippa and the former Golden Arrows mentor has now addressed Gwambi’s future.

“I said he [Siyabulela Gwambi] must stay at the club so I can work with him,” Seema told FARPost.
“Look I don’t believe in firing people because I know that is not right so Gwambi will stay.”
Meanwhile, Chippa have been knocked out of the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals by Sekhukhune United last Sunday.
The Chili Boys have been struggling for consistency as they have only won six games in the league with eight draws and 12 defeats in 26 games played.
Chippa is currently languishing second from the bottom of the log with 26 points accumulated.
Furthermore, Chippa is just two points away from Maritzburg United who are at the basement of the log with 24 points.
They will face Kaizer Chiefs at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Friday, 27 April as they look to move out of relegation zone.
