Brandon Truter makes bold claim about Sekhukhune’s progress

Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter has made a bold claim on the progress of his team.

The Polokwane outfit has been on a good form in their recent matches in both the DStv Premiership and the Nedbank Cup.

Babina Noko are undefeated in seven matches after registering five victories and two draws.

On Sunday, 23 April, they made history after completing their first-ever league double over Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, winning both matches with 1-0 scorelines.

The narrow victory saw Sekhukhune cement their place in the top half of the log moving up to sixth with 35 points from 26 matches. On the other hand, they are in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals.

The appointment of Brandon Truter in November 2022 has been the turn around for the club. When he took charge from Kaitano Tembo, the team was going through a rough patch, laying 15th on the log.

TRUTER SAYS EVERYTHING IS COMING UP AS PLANNED

The mentor claims everything is going according to their plans at the moment.

“It’s about us the progress that we making, the puzzle is coming out nicely together. Of course there is always a room for improvement,” said Truter.

“We’ve proven in the [Nedbank] cup and we’ve proven in the league as well. For us is about progress, I think the biggest competition is within the camp, player-to-player and the mindset as well.

“We got so much to play for in terms of the top eight and in terms of the Nedbank Cup.”

WHAT SEKHUKHUNE HAS IMPROVED ON

The coach dubbed “Brakkies” further revealed two elements his side has improved on.

“It’s another cleansheet for defense and I’m happy we scoring at the moment. One nil at this stage can win us the game,” added.
