Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane reveals his biggest worry
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has revealed his biggest worry following their 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon.
Babina Noko has completed a league double over Amakhosi this season.
As a result, the CAF Champions League qualification chances for the Soweto giants are slowly fading away.
Currently, the Glamour Boys are placed in position four on the log standings with 41 points after 26 games.
With four games left to play for Chiefs this campaign, winning every match is of paramount importance if they want to leapfrog SuperSport United and arch-rivals Orlando Pirates for the DStv Premiership second spot finish.
ARTHUR ZWANE’S BIGGEST WORRY
Zwane’s biggest worry is his side’s failure to keep clean sheets which puts them under pressure most of the time.
The last time Chiefs managed to keep a clean sheet was against Richards Bay in March 2023. The game ended 1-0 in favour of Zwane’s charges.
“Yeah, it’s a worrying factor. As I said, we keep conceding, and I thought we had it covered. Unfortunately, the ball hit ‘Siya’ [Siyabonga Ngezana] and fell on their path, and they [Sekhukhune] converted,” Zwane told the media in Polokwane.
“But it is one of those, as I said, the guys had a solid game, and we just did not create enough goal-scoring opportunities.”
ARTHUR ZWANE REMAINS TIGHT-LIPPED ON WHO SHOULD BE THE PLAYER OF THE SEASON
Zwane remained tight-lipped when asked who he thinks will be the Player of the Season.
“Look, there are many players who did well, and it’s difficult to single out one,” he added.
“So, until the end of the season, then that will give us a clear sign of who is the best player of the season.”
Chiefs’ next assignment will be against struggling Chippa United away from home on Thursday, 27 April 2023.
The kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
