How Morena Ramoreboli is shaping ‘the next Khama Billiat’

After being likened to Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat, Zimbabwean starlet Daniel Msendami has revealed how coach Morena Ramoreboli is shaping him at Jwaneng Galaxy.

Morena Ramoreboli, who holds a CAF A licence, continues to hit good strides with the ambitious Botswana outfit, Jwaneng Galaxy.

As it stands Jwaneng Galaxy are well on course to win the 2022/23 Botswana Premier League Championship.

With a healthy six-point gap ahead of Gaborone United, Morena Ramoreboli, ex-Bafana Bafana stand-in coach, is carving a niche at the summit of the fast-growing league.

They have 56 points on their tally in 23 matches. And it appears the Zimbabwean starlet, Daniel Msendami is feeling Morena Ramoreboli’s on his promising career.

HOW MORENA RAMOREBOLI HAS HELPED DANIEL MSENDAMI

Msendami was full of praises for Morena Ramoreboli as he explained how the soft-spoken has impacted on him.

“Personally, the coach has helped me in a lot of things, including settling well in a foreign land,” Msendami told FARPost.

“He has been telling me that if I want to be a good winger, I must be good with or without the ball.

“It’s the same thing he has told everyone in the team. That has been impactful because I see improvement at all levels.”

MORENA RAMOREBOLI’S KEY ATTRIBUTE

“We might win the league. That would be my first league medal but the impact made by coach Morena Ramoreboli is visible.

“He is soft. He is hardly harsh. So its easy to work with him because he is not quick to anger or frustration.

“Everyone has extra training because that is one of the things he demands from us. More often he has been demanding extra training from forward players.

“Personally, I have been doing that a lot. Basically, he has won our hearts because it is very good to be coached by a coach who is a free spirit.

“That kind of a free spirit who always pushes you in a respectful way. Someone who demands a lot from you while also moulding you.

“With him, there is unity, love and commitment from everyone including tne whole technical team.

“I can safely assure you that the coach is building a monster team that kills because we move as a unit and we understand each other,” Msendami said.

Jwaneng Galaxy have been Botswana champions once in the past having clinched the title in 2020.

They also had a memorable fairytale in the CAF Champions League when they reached the group phase for the first time during the 2021/22 edition.
