More teams secure ABC Motsepe League national playoffs spots  

With the South African football third tier having reached its fever pitch, more teams continue to secure ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs with the aim to gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. 

In the Northern Cape, Upington City were crowned the Provincial Playoffs winner following their 1-0 win over Diamond City on Saturday. 

Over to the Western Cape, Young Bafana cruised their way into the National Playoffs following their 1-0 win over Zizwe United in the second leg. 

As a result, the game ended with a 1-1 scoreline on aggregate, as Zizwe won the first leg with the same scoreline which led to the penalty shootouts. Bafana were lucky enough to walk away victorious on penalties. 

Nedbank Cup giant-killers, Dondol Stars won the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League with 80 points and ultimately qualified for the National Playoffs. 

Mlambo Royal Cubs were also crowned Mpumalanga ABC League champions after defeating Secunda M Stars 2-0 in the Provincial Playoffs. 

Meanwhile, Orbit College secured the National Playoffs spot with a 1-0 slender win over NWU Eagles in the North West ABC Motsepe League.

The Provincial Playoffs in Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo are yet to take place due to pending cases, with fixtures subject to change.

The date and the province that will host the National Playoffs will be revealed in due course by SAFA.

The two finalists of the playoffs will gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
