Two Pirates key players to miss Royal AM clash

Orlando Pirates will have to do without two key players for their DStv Premiership clash against Royal AM on Wednesday, 3 May 2023.

The game is scheduled to take place at Orlando Stadium, with the kick-off set for 15:00.

Pirates coach Jose Riveiro will be without the services of his two key players for the upcoming crucial league match due to suspensions.

Riveiro will have to find a way to come up with the best replacement for the suspended duo, as the Buccaneers are in contestation to finish second in the league for the CAF Champions League qualification.

THE TWO SUSPENDED KEY PLAYERS

The two suspended players are defensive midfielder Miguel Timm and attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini.

The duo players received yellow cards in their league match against TS Galaxy over the weekend and they will be out for one game.

Timm and Dlamini have played an important role in Pirates’ success this campaign, with Timm having played 29 games and Dlamini featured in 26 games for the Sea Robbers across all competitions this term.

THREE GAMES TO GO FOR ORLANDO PIRATES

With Pirates in contention to book a spot for continental football next campaign, the Soweto giants will do everything in their power to consolidate their second position in the league with their three games remaining.

And Riveiro is confident that his side will be able to qualify for the CAF interclub competition. They aim to take one game at a time to extend their winning streak.

As things stands, Riveiro’s charges occupy the second position on the table with 49 points. They are just two points ahead of third-placed SuperSport United.
