How AmaZulu intend to approach Mamelodi Sundowns clash
AmaZulu interim coach Ayanda Dlamini has revealed how his side plan to approach their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Usuthu will host the champions at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday at 19:30, hoping to pull off a big shock.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit remains desperate for points in a bid to escape the relegation dogfight, but they come up against a formidable opponent.
AYANDA DLAMINI’S IMPACT AT AMAZULU
Nevertheless, Dlamini still fancies his side’s chances and insists they will take the fight to the Tshwane giants, showing them no respect.
Dlamini, who replaced the embattled Romain Folz on an interim basis, has had a positive impact and will look to continue guiding Usuthu to safety.
He bagged his first win on Saturday when Usuthu defeated Sekhukhune United 2-0 at home and is now targeting Sundowns’ scalp.
“It’s a very important game for us after a win on Saturday, but we still need points in our situation,” Dlamini told the media.
“And we are coming up against a very good team. We are playing at home, we have to take the game to them and try to create chances and take them.
“But Its gonna be difficult because its Sundowns, however, the fighting spirit that the boys have been showing is encouraging. We will go there and compete again with Sundowns.”
DLAMINI GETTING THE BEST OUT OF PLAYERS
Dlamini has been delighted with the performances of most of his trusted soldiers such as Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Ethan Brooks.
The pair were on the scoresheet last time out for Usuthu, marking a big turnaround in their respective fortunes having been on the sidelines for different reasons.
“In some positions we might need to reinforce, especially coming up against Sundowns but we will have to see how the guys have recovered from the last game,” added Dlamini.
