How exit talk awakened the ‘warrior spirit’ in a Pirates star

Former PSL coach Sunday Chidzambwa believes talks of an exit that troubled an Orlando Pirates star was a blessing in disguise as it helped awaken the Warrior spirit in him.

The Zimbabwe international has been impressive for Orlando Pirates. As a result, coach Jose Riveiro is pleased since opting to give him a second chance.

Dzvukamanja has been concurrently good, so much that it looks like he will be kept for the 2023/24 season.

According to Transfermarkt, the ex-Bidvest Wits forward played 12 games this season, where he managed six goals and one assist.

HOW TERRENCE DZVUKAMANJA’S WARRIOR SPIRIT WAS AWAKENED

“I look at it as a blessing in disguise. He is scoring right now. Terrence [Dzvukamanja] is in a better place to bargain because he is performing better than others,” Sunday Chidzambwa said.

“Of course, it’s difficult to be in a position of being offloaded, but that helped awaken the Warrior spirit in him. I’m sure he has regained the confidence and support of his coaches and his teammates.”

At the moment, the 28-year-old, Dzvukamanja, is one of coach Jose Riveiro’s trusted goal-getters.

Comparatively, Dzvukamanja is ranked higher than the other strikers, including Evidence Makgopa and Ndumiso Mabena.

The trio of Makgopa, Eva Nga and Mabena have one goal among them this season.
