Rulani Mokwena sends message to Wydad Casablanca ahead of clash

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has sent Wydad Casablanca a message ahead of their CAF Champions League semi-final clash.

Masandawana will travel to Morocco for the first-leg which will take place on Saturday, 13 May at 9:00 pm at the Stade Mohammed V.

Sundowns secured the spot in the last four after they eliminated the Algerian side CR Belouizdad with a 6-2 scoreline.

Meanwhile, Wydad knocked out the Tanzanian giants Simba SC on penalties after they were locked at 1-1 on aggregate.

Mokwena is adamant his side will play their normal game despite the hostile environment they’ll come across in Casablanca.

However, he also admitted that they await a tough encounter considering that Wydad recently appointed a new coach.

“It’s going to be tricky we know that, we’re going to do our analysis now,” Mokwena said as per Sundowns website.

“The most important thing now is good rest and lots of water.

“We are expecting a tough game and a hostile crowd and a lot of difficulty. They are a good team and they have a new coach as you have seen.

“But they should also expect a good team.[They should expect] a team that will come there and be brave to play.

“We just have to enjoy the opportunity and the occasion.”
