Super League wrap: TS Galaxy Queens thump Richmond United

TS Galaxy Queens thumped Richmond United 5-0 at home, in match-day 12 of the Hollywoodbets Super League.

It was goals galore in round 12 of the Super League, with Sundowns Ladies scoring the highest number of goals this weekend, with nine goals against Coal City Wizards. The overall goals were 29 across all eight games played.

TS GALAXY QUEENS HAMMER RICHMOND UNITED 5-0 AT HOME

TS Galaxy came into the game on 24 points, in fourth place, while Richmond was just a point ahead of them, in third place on the log table.

The first half of the game started at a high tempo, with both sides creating the same amount of opportunities, and trying to contend for the ball.

In the 29th minute, Mamello Makhubane broke the deadlock and made it 1-0 to TS Galaxy. However, TS Galaxy’s goal did not stop Richmond from searching for their own goal in the first half.

But unfortunately, the Northern Cape side was not clinical enough in front of the goals. TS Galaxy went into half-time leading Richmond 1-0 at home.

In the second half, it all fell apart for Richmond, with TS Galaxy capitalising on their high line, and catching them on break at every given moment.

In the 71st minute, Busisiwe Ndimeni extended the lead for TS Galaxy, to make it 2-0 from a throw-in ball. Eight minutes later, Ndimeni made it 3-0 against the run of play.

In the 87th minute, Nicole Michael made it 4-0 for the home side with Dimakatso Seitlheko scoring an own goal in the 89th minute, to seal the win for TS Galaxy.

TS Galaxy is currently on 27 points, in third place, with just six points separating themselves and first place UWC. On the other hand, Richmond dropped to fourth place.

THE RESULTS OF THE REMAINING SUPER LEAGUE GAMES

Sundowns Ladies thrashed relegation-threatened side, Coal City Wizards, 9-0 away from home.

Top of the table side, UWC Ladies, won 3-0 at home against Royal AM Ladies. UJ Ladies dropped points at home against TUT Ladies, in a 1-1 stalemate. AmaTuks secured a home 2-0 victory against Thunderbirds.

And Durban Ladies lost their third game in a row against JWV Girls, 1-0. Meanwhile Copperbelt Ladies won 2-1 against Ma-indies at home.
