A South African-based coach has travelled to Zambia to upskill himself by taking part in the CAF B License course.
The course is held by the Football Association of Zambia [FAZ] and conducted by CAF Instructor Sunday Kayuni.
It involves examinability in theory and practice which requires candidates to be fairly academically proficient.
Former Swallows striker Mpho Maleka is amongst thirty candidates that are undergoing the CAF B license course.
Candidates such as Maleka for the CAF B programme were chosen on the basis of already having the CAF C License.
Orlando Pirates Under 21 coach and Chipolopolo 2012 AFCON winning captain Christopher Katongo are also part of the course.

Maleka says it was important for him to empower himself besides close to two decades of playing professionally.
“There is a need. Anyone who wants to be in football has to go through these kinds of courses so that they can be well advised and educated. Experience alone won’t be enough,” Maleka told FARPost from Lusaka.
“You also need academic education. Nowadays football has changed and evolved, so we need to be in line with what is happening in the world.
“So, the day I planned to be a coach I told myself that I needed to empower myself.
“As much as I played football and gained experience but that is not enough. That’s why I felt there is a need for me to go out and empower myself anywhere in the World,” he said.

“I want to explore and meet people. Learn other people’s way of doing things. That’s why I say football is not enough when it comes to experience,” added Maleka.
“You need people around you and learn how they do their things. Zambia was the perfect place for me, as much as I missed the first one that took place here in August. I also missed the other ones in Lesotho and Morocco.”
The 44-year-old parted ways with Marumo Gallants last year. He has been doing consulting work in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.
