Lehlohonolo Seema: ‘We are not out of woods yet’
Chippa United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema reckons they are not “out of the woods yet” as the Chilli Boys are gearing up for their DStv Premiership encounter against TS Galaxy on the weekend.
The Gqeberha-based outfit will take on the Rockets on Saturday, 13 May at Mbombela Stadium. The kick-off is at 15:00.
Chippa comes into this clash highly motivated following their 3-2 win over Richards Bay last week.
The victory put them in a better position to be able to avoid the chop with two league games left to play for them.
As things stands, Seema’s charges are placed 15th on the table with 29 points, equal in points with the 14th-placed Marumo Gallants, who are only left with one game to play.
LEHLOHONOLO SEEMA: ‘WE ARE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS’
“Look, the guys really worked hard and they deserved to win that game because they did very well and I allowed them to celebrate that victory,” Seema told the club’s media department.
“But unfortunately, it was only for that night and the following day we were already looking at our next opponents because we are not yet out of the woods.
“The mood in the camp is okay and not relaxed. It’s still the mood of those people who knows that they are not safe yet.”
WHAT SEEMA TOLD THE PLAYERS ON HIS RETURN TO CHIPPA UNITED
The ex-Black Leopards coach went on to reveal what he told his players on his return to the club last month.
“We were quite clear when I first arrived, I told the guys that we have four cup finals and it’s now at the moment everybody is trying to fight for anything. So, it’s not about going to the team that we think is also not out of the woods or not,” he divulged.
“We are looking at ourselves making sure that we try to get maximum points because we know that every game we win, we don’t even have to wait for calls or go to look at how other teams are doing.
“It’s going to be a difficult game. TS Galaxy is one of the teams that is hard to beat especially when playing at home.”
