What makes AmaZulu’s strike force special
AmaZulu FC marksman Augustine Kwem has shared what he believes makes the club’s strike force one of the best in the PSL.
Kwem is part of a strike force that also includes the likes of Sede Junior Deon, Bongi Ntuli, Gabadinho Mhango and Lehlohonolo Majoro.
Usuthu’s strikers all bring something different to the table and provide caretaker coach Ayanda Dlamini with plenty of options.
Kwem, who has featured 16 times in the DStv Premiership this season, has scored two goals and provided one assist with his aggressive style.
The likes of Dion, Mhango, Ntuli and Majoro have also chipped in, spreading the goals nicely between the five strikers.
WHAT MAKES AMAZULU’S STRIKE FORCE SPECIAL
“We have variety, technical ability, speed, strength and aggression. It’s just a good combination all round,” Kwem told reporters, as he detailed what makes their striker force special.
“The likes of Deon, he’s very aggressive and myself, i’m also very aggressive. We have Bongs [Ntuli] who is quite calm but very clinical and then there’s [Lehlohonolo] Majoro who is just a legend. So we have a very good combination of strikers.”
Kwem will be hoping to be the preferred option for Dlamini upfront on Saturday when Usuthu face Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Usuthu will be out to improve their record in KwaZulu-Natal derbies this season as they are yet to beat any of their provincial rivals.
“The game is very important because it’s also a derby,” added Kwem.
USUTHU’S DERBY NIGHTMARE
“The whole season we haven’t had good results in derbies. So this one is a must win for us, especially with our eyes in the top eight.”
Arrows and Usuthu are only a point apart in ninth and 11th spot, respectively and will both be gunning for a top eight finish.
