The Zimbabwean sensation has been described by coach Morena Ramoreboli as Zimbabwe’s next Khama Billiat.

“Honestly speaking, Daniel has been doing very well. I think sometimes it doesn’t matter the level you played before but what matters most is the talent and ability you possess.

“I think Daniel has a very special talent. The first time I saw him I compared him to Khama Billiat. I said to myself this one is going to be the next Khama Billiat,” Ramoreboli said.

Msendami joined Jwaneng Galaxy in August 2022 on loan from Zimbabwe’s Highlanders. He then signed a permanent contract with the club in January.

Previously, Msendami played for Zimbabwean giants Highlanders’ developmental side Bosso90.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old winger was on target as Jwaneng Galaxy drew 1-1 with Nico United.

That was his ninth goal of the season as the draw saw Jwaneng Galaxy’s seven-point lead reduced to five points.

At the tail end of the season, Msendami is a vital cog in Jwaneng Galaxy’s surge and it will be no surprise if they hold onto him. They were Botswana champions in 2020.

And they had a memorable fairytale in the CAF Champions league when they reached the group phase for the first time during the 2021/22 edition.
