Makhaula makes CAF Champions League admission

Orlando Pirates midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula has made a CAF Champions League admission following their match against Sekhukhune United.

The Soweto giants dropped two crucial points at home on Saturday in the DStv Premiership.

Pirates were held to a 1-1 draw as the visitors fought back to salvage a draw.

The Sea Robbers are now at par with third-placed side SuperSport United.

The duo have amassed 51 points respectively with a game left to wrap up the season. Pirates are only above because of a better goal difference [two].

Makhaula therefore admitted they just made things difficult for themselves in the race for CAF Champions League spot.

For Pirates to book a place for the Champions League, they must win their last league match of the season.

“It’s quite disappointing for us because we wanted to make things easier for us. But we just made them a bit difficult even though we are still number two,” Makhaula told PiratesTV.

“We obviously wanted to win, but we got a draw.

“We going to depend on our last game, I think our last game of the season we have to get the three points.”
