TS Galaxy respond to club sale talks

TS Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi has finally responded to reports that the club is up for sale. 

In the past months, FARPost broke the news that the club is failing to play their players. The publication received some audios of the players demanding their payments.

In recent weeks, news spread that the DStv Premiership side was being up for sale – the reason behind again due to financial strains.

It has been reported that TS Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi has been told to sell the club due to financial issues due to its financial struggles. However, it seems they have sorted their financial woes.

The club, through its chairman Tim Sukazi, issue a statement on Tuesday evening, insisting that the club is not for sale.

According to Sukazi and the club, that’s news to them. The club denies speculations that they are keen on selling. He described the sale rumours as ‘utter rubbish and nonsense.’

“I’ve been asked about the sale of our club on a few occasions,” said Sukazi in a statement.

“This week such that it has become very important to state it categorically clear that the rumours have been circulating after utter rubbish and nonsense that would not ordinarily warrant any of our action.”

“They are pure malice, that is aimed at us. It’s aimed at destabilising the good that is manifesting itself within our project.”

Moreover, The Rockets have been blowing hot and cold this season in the DStv Premiership. Galaxy are 10th on the log standings. They have registered seven wins, 14 draws and suffered eight defeats.

They have amassed 35 points, aiming for a top-eight finish to participate in MTN8. Galaxy is two points behind eighth-placed Golden Arrows.

Furthermore, Galaxy lost in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 to Stellenbosch FC. They suffered a 6-3 loss.
