Thabo Nodada’s verdict on Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town City attacker Thabo Nodada has given his verdict on Kaizer Chiefs, who have been struggling for results in the DStv Premiership.

Chiefs are winless in their last three matches in all competitions, and they recently suffered their record 11th loss in the league when they lost 1-0 to SuperSport United.

The loss to SuperSport was met with much criticism, resulting in club supporters attacking head coach Arthur Zwane after the match.

Once dubbed Cup Kings of South African football, Chiefs have seemingly lost their cup-winning pedigree.

Amakhosi last tasted winning the silverware when they won the league during the 2014/15 campaign under Stuart Baxter.

In the current season, Chiefs have won 13 games in the league, drawn five and lost 11 times in 29 games. They are currently positioned fourth on the log with 44 points.

With Chiefs facing the Citizens in their last match of the season, Nodada has given his verdict on the Soweto giants.

HOW THABO NODADA THINK ABOUT KAIZER CHIEFS

“Football match, nothing much and nothing. You treat every opponent with respect,” Nodada told City’s media.

“But on the day, it’s a whole different story. We’re all out to get our objectives. We want to put our best foot forward.

“They [Kaizer Chiefs] are a good bunch, and they’ve shown it throughout the season. We’re also a good bunch, so it should be a good match-up.

“It should be a good match for everyone, there are two ball possession playing teams, and I’m looking forward to who they put out there,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nodada has been a subject of speculation in the previous transfer windows. City have in the past revealed that they are open to listening to any lucrative offers.

Kaizer Chiefs will lock horns with Cape Town City at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 20th of May. Kickoff is at 15:00.
