Kaizer Chiefs defender’s big promise to angry fans

Kaizer Chiefs’ utility man Dillan Solomons has made a big promise to the club’s angry supporters ahead of their last DStv Premiership match this weekend.

The Glamour Boys will face Cape Town City in their last match of the campaign at FNB Stadium on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 15:00.

Amakhosi will be desperate to finish what has been another disappointing campaign on somewhat of a high against the Citizens.

A SEASON TO FORGET FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

Chiefs have endured another season to forget where they have once again failed to end the club’s troubling trophy drought.

The Soweto giants have also missed out on qualification for both the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup next season.

And the club’s demanding supporters have made their frustrations clear with some unsavory scenes at Royal Bafokeng Stadium last week.

Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane received the worst part of the attack as he was struck by an object from the angry supporters.

This was after their 1-0 defeat at the hands of SuperSport United.

But Chiefs defender Solomons, who admits that it hasn’t been their best season, has promised the supporters some joy this weekend.

“For me the message to the supporters is for them to just keep supporting us, they have been there for us since day one ever since i came here,” Solomons told his club’s media department.

“They have been very supportive of me and the club and i know they love the club so much.

DILLAN SOLOMONS’ BIG PROMISE TO FANS

“Hopefully, next season we will give them something to smile about. We will give them something to smile about this weekend as well.

“It’s just about continuous support and keep coming out in numbers to support us at the stadium.”

Chiefs lost the corresponding fixture 2-0 away from home and will be looking to avenge that defeat.

The Glamour Boys will also be hoping to snap a three match losing run in all competitions.
