Orlando Pirates-bound Buthelezi bids farewell to TS Galaxy
Orlando Pirates-bound goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi has bid farewell to TS Galaxy following the conclusion of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season on Saturday afternoon.
The talented goal-minder has been the talk of the town in recent months, as the 25-year-old footballer is heavily linked with a move to Pirates.
Buthelezi posted a passionate letter declaring his appreciation and love for the Rockets amid his move to the Buccaneers.
The shot-stopper is expected to be announced as one of the signings by the Soweto giants ahead of the new campaign.

Buthelezi took to social media bid an emotional farewell to Galaxy, expressing his gratitude to all of those who have helped him throughout his stay at the Mpumalanga-based outfit.
“I will forever be grateful for the opportunity this team gave me. I just want to take this opportunity and thank boss Mr Tim Sukazi and Mr Ziphozonke Hlubi for allowing me to be part of this wonderful team,” wrote Buthelezi.
“And for giving me a place that was home to me. Thanks again, my brothers. I couldn’t be anything without them. Also, thanks to the technical team for the opportunity they gave me.
“I would also like to thank the team supporters so much. Now, it’s time for me to say goodbye. To me, you will always be a family that I will never forget in my life. Until we meet again.”
MELUSI BUTHELEZI’S STATS AT TS GALAXY
In the just-ended DStv Premiership season, Buthelezi featured in 21 games for Galaxy. He managed to keep 10 clean sheets and conceded 15 goals in the process.
Overall, he played 34 games for the Rockets across all competitions. He conceded 23 goals and kept 17 clean sheets.
He made his debut for the side against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup last 32 of in March 2022. And since then, Buthelezi has been instrumental for Sead Ramović’s side.
The goalie helped Galaxy to finish 10th on the log standings with 35 points from 30 outings.
