SuperSport United youngster Thapelo Maseko has reflected on what was his best season yet in the Premier Soccer League [PSL].
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a successful second season with the Tshwane outfit, doing his growing reputation no harm.
Maseko has emerged as one of the finest young talents in the country, playing his best football under Gavin Hunt at United.

He made 25 appearances for Matsatsantsa a Pitori this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Maseko also broke into the SA Under-23 side as a result of his impressive performances for the Tshwane giants this season.
He has also been in the conversation for senior national team selection with Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos naming him in his last preliminary squad.
And it was no surprise when Maseko was nominated for the prestigious DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season award.
He will go up against favorite Cassius Mailula of Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC’s Olwethu Makhanya for the award at the upcoming PSL Awards.
As the curtain comes down on the 2022-23 PSL season, Maseko has reflected on what has been his best campaign to date.
“Whats a season it has been, incredible,” said Maseko on social media.
“[I am] grateful for the opportunity given [to me] by the coaches and the support from my fellow teammates. Thank you Spartans.”
Maseko’s impressive performances in his sophomore season have not gone unnoticed with reports that he has attracted interest from a number of suitors.
One of the clubs said to be chasing Maseko’s signature is Belgian Premier League side KV Westerlo as they look to lure the youngster to Europe.
The Belgian outfit have been watching Maseko’s development closely since coming up through United’s youth academy.
Tshwane rivals Sundowns are also said to be big admirers of the SA junior international and could make a substantial offer for his signature.
United, though, clearly rate the player highly and would only let him move on to greener pastures if they receive a substantial offer, preferably from abroad.
