Bongokuhle Hlongwane ‘very happy’ with recent form in MLS
Bafana Bafana star Bongokuhle Hlongwane is delighted with his recent hot form for his side Minnesota United in the MLS.
The former Maritzburg United forward has pretty much lit up the MLS for the Loons so far this season. He has popped up with crucial goals.
Hlongwane appears to be getting into his own after a modest debut campaign last season. In that campaign, he only scored two goals in 33 appearances.

This season, the Bafana winger has already rattled the back of the net six times in just 14 appearances so far for the Loons in all competitions.
Hlongwane’s goals have been crucial as well. he has helped his side to sixth spot in the MLS Western Conference table with 18 points from 13 matches.
He has also scored two goals in the US Open Cup to guide the Loons to the Round of 16. They will face Houston Dynamo on Wednesday.
Hlongwane has been delighted with his contribution for his side this season and is looking forward to maintaining his strong start to the campaign.
“I feel like it is just the moment because in last season, I played so many games without a goal or assists, so I think this time, I’m very happy that I’m performing. I’m very happy,” Hlongwane told his club’s website.
HUGE EXPECTATIONS FOR HLONGWANE
Hlongwane’s coach, Adrian Heath, has also been impressed by the South African’s showing this season. The coach backs the striker to score a heap of goals.
“He might get me the 25 goals that he said he was going to get me when he left last year,” said Heath.
The red-hot Hlongwane has made the cut in the MLS Team of the Matchday for second consecutive week. This time around, he earned a place on the bench.
