Orlando Pirates frontman Kermit Erasmus is wary of the threat posed by Sekhukhune United ahead of the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday, 27 May 2023.
The Buccaneers will take on Babina Noko at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane, with the kick-off set for 18:00.
The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns man insists that Sekhukhune can cause an upset for them if they take them for granted. Therefore, respect for their opposition will be key for the Soweto giants.
KERMIT ERASMUS: ‘WE’RE NOT TAKING ANYTHING FOR GRANTED’
“Hopefully, we can be victors on the day. We have a lot of respect for our opposition and we’re not taking anything for granted.
“We’ll go in there and give our best, and our best will hopefully bring the trophy home,” Erasmus told the club’s official site.

The striker will be hoping to reciprocate what he did in the 2013/14 Nedbank Cup where he scored a brace to help Bucs win the tournament.
“Being at a club like Orlando Pirates, it’s obviously important to help bring silverware to the club,” he added.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to achieve that. Hopefully, we’ll be ready on the day and give everything to make that possible.
“A cup final is obviously always something great to be a part of and I’m always grateful for the opportunity to be involved.”
The 32-year-old footballer continued: ” It’s just about giving my best for the team. It’s something I accept and take on the best way I can.
“I just give my best whenever I’m given the chance to don the jersey. I’m blessed to be able to deliver on big games, and hopefully, I can do the same on Saturday.”
Erasmus went on to say that the encounter won’t be a walk in the park, but he believes that they have prepared well enough to walk away victorious.
“I think we have prepared well. We’ve got our plans for how they might approach the game, but you know it could change,” he stated.
“It also could be the same, but we are prepared for whatever might happen on the day.”
