Sundowns defender set for loan move

A Mamelodi Sundowns defender appears poised for a loan move once again, with local and international teams showing interest.

This was confirmed by the player’s agent Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports Group.

The Tshwane giants recently won their sixth DStv Premiership title in a row with many games to spare.

With that said, a galaxy of stars fight for positions at the star-studded side, and some warm the bench.

In order to gain time game many players, especially youngsters at Sundowns get sent out on loan and left-back Siyanda Msani is no exception.

Msani will soon be on the move again, as it has been confirmed that he will not be going back to Richards Bay FC following the end of his loan spell.

As a result of his good displays at club level on loan, Msani made his debut with Bafana Bafana in the COSAFA Cup under the tutelage of Helman Mkhalele at the age of 20.

This drew interest from Richards Bay, and they swiftly concluded a season-long loan deal on the 28th of July 2022.

“We are looking for a loan deal for Siyanda Msani from Sundowns,” Siyavuma Sports Group MD Mitchell told FARPost.

“It looks like he will be going on loan again. There are local and possible international options that we can’t mention at this moment. To be brutally honest, realistically, it could be local, but he won’t be going back to Richard’s Bay.”

The 21-year-old Msani has made 25 appearances for Richards Bay in the just-ended season.

Due to his performances, he was called up to the senior national team by Hugo Broos, who is a big admirer of young talented players.

It remains to be seen which club Msani will join ahead of the new season.
