Super League: Top-of-the-table battle intensifies

Top-of-the-table clash in the Hollywoodbets Super League has intensified between Sundowns Ladies and UWC Ladies.

Match-day 15 of the Super League ended with 20 goals across all eight games played this weekend.

TOP-OF-THE-TABLE CLASH INTENSIFIES BETWEEN SUNDOWNS AND UWC

Coming into match-day 15, Sundowns were at the summit, on 37 points, with just one point separating them from UWC [36 points].

However, this weekend, everything took a turn, as the top-of-the-table clash intensified in the Super League.

Sundowns took on Thunderbirds Ladies away from home. And coming into this game, they were on a winning streak of seven games which stretched back to match-day eight.

However, Thunderbirds put an end to Sundowns’ winning streak, in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, 27 May.

On the other hand, UWC did the opposite to their fellow challenger. On the same day, they took on Durban Ladies away from home.

And fortunately for them, they were able scrape a 1-0 victory against the Natal side, guaranteeing them the number one spot for a minimum of a week.

The Super League is only midway through, and it will be interesting to see how this two-horserace ends.
