Drama ahead of ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs

The ABC Motsepe League and drama seem inseparable as another arbitration will take place a few days before the national playoffs in Pietermaritzburg.

Drama is unfolding in the SAFA Western Cape ABC Motsepe League after Young Bafana were crowned the Provincial champions four weeks ago.

Young Bafana secured the National Playoffs spot following their 1-0 win over Zizwe United in the second leg.

As a result, the match ended with a 1-1 scoreline on aggregate, as Zizwe won the first leg with the same scoreline, which led to the penalty shootouts. Young Bafana were lucky enough to walk away victorious on penalties.

After the Provincial Playoffs, Zizwe United filed a complaint alleging that Young Bafana used a player from another team in the Provincial Playoff.

Following weeks of legal battle, the matter escalated to the SAFA national offices. As a result, Zizwe are hoping for a better outcome.
