Stay put, former Chiefs star tells Orlando Pirates striker

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kelvin Mushangazhike has told an Orlando Pirates star never to entertain thoughts of leaving the club whatsoever.

Orlando Pirates, who are doing well under Jose Riveiro, capped their season on a high note after clinching the coveted Nedbank Cup.

They won the MTN8 Cup, and they also secured a CAF Champions League slot.

And Kelvin Mushangazhike has told Terrence Dzvukamanja to stay put at the club, even though he had an uncertain future at some point last season.

The former Bidvest Wits winger proved his mettle at Orlando Pirates, having been frozen when the 2022/23 season started.

Dzvukamanja was the hero during the Nedbank Cup final after scoring a stoppage-time winner against Sekhukune United.

That followed a plausible feat where he scored seven crucial goals for Orlando Pirates in 14 league games.

The impressive numbers appear to have convinced the Orlando Pirates coach that Dzvukamanja is good enough.

“Terrence deserves it; I’m so happy for him because he went through a difficult time during the season.

“The boy was struggling and suffering a lot. Sometimes people weren’t understanding.

“He’s a fantastic player. That’s why he’s playing for Orlando Pirates. He went through a lot,” he said after the Nedbank Cup final.

WHAT THE PIRATES STAR HAS BEEN TOLD

Dzvukamanja will be out of contract at the end of June, and Kelvin Mushangazhike believes he will stay at the club.

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker Kelvin Mushangazhike is backing Orlando Pirates star Dzvukamanja to stay.

Kelvin Mushangazhike said the talented player would disrupt the rhythm of his career if he leaves the Buccaneers.

“He’s talented, and considering the character he showed, it’s obvious several clubs will hope to sign, knowing his contract situation.

“But I think it’s a bad idea for him to move. That would disrupt his rhythm, considering what he faced last season.

“What if adaptation takes longer at a new club? He should stay put. I’m sure he will deliver more next season,” the former Kaizer Chiefs star told FARPost.
